Wit is and Smart contract on the top of Ethereum blockchain. Despite of storing the knowledge into the blockchain, the wit provide links to the knowledge location resources ( RFC3986) and stores the checksum as proof of existence. Moreover  as well as wits interaction. The wit minim specification cover linking to media resources, basic metadata schema structure and wit citations. Like standard ERC 2o  and can be upgrade with other specifications ERC 223. the Wit specification will be updated to represent different kind of knowledge (scientific papers , books, invocation collaborations, Intellectual property) and new knowledge interactions.

Witcoin is and ERC20 Ethereum token compliant with the ERC223 specifications. Moreover, Witcoin follows the new standard for knowledge tokens.

A knowledge token is linked with a knowledge storage. Each time a new knowledge (aka wit) is created the knowledge token (aka Witcoin) increment the token supply and distribute the new tokens created as rewards.
